About Ladue, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
An inner-ring suburb of the city of St. Louis, Ladue is situated in central St. Louis County, Missouri. With an estimated population of more than 8,600 residents, Laude has one of the highest median incomes in the United States and is known for its convenient location and high-end, well-maintained homes, making it one of the most desirable places to live in St. Louis.
Laude began as a farming community suburb of St. Louis County. Once horses were replaced by automobiles as the primary mode of travel, farmers in the region started selling parts of their land to city workers who wanted to live outside the urban setting. In 1936, three villages - Village of McKnight, Village of LaDue and Village of Deer Creek - were merged forming what’s now known as Laude.
As of today, Ladue is one of the wealthiest suburban residential areas within the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Visitors and locals alike experience unique and friendly dining and shopping experiences. American and European antiques stores, fashion boutiques, jewelry stores and a variety of local restaurants are all within easy reach in the city.
The Village at Schneithorst offers local boutiques, exercise opportunities and breakfast options. Laude’s Business District features a quarter mile of inviting and quaint shops, bars and restaurants as well as the local hardware store. Furthermore, the ClayPrice Shopping Centre is home to specialty and jewelry stores, along with more local restaurants.
Residents find unique shops, restaurants, booksellers and ice cream parlors in the Colonial Marketplace and Ladue Crossing. As far as education is concerned, the Ladue School District - which is home to four elementary schools - not only serves all of Ladue but as well as parts of Creve Coeur, Frontenac and Olivette.
Ladue Horton Watkins High School is the only high school of the district and enrolls more than 1,300 students. Mary Institute and St. Louis County Day School and John Burroughs School are the two private schools that serve the students of Ladue. The St. Louis County Library headquarters branch is also located in the city.
The city receives 42 inches of rainfall and 18 inches of snowfall per year. With the average high in summers around 89 degrees in the summers, it’s crucial to have a reliable air conditioning system to maintain comfort within your home. Moreover, since the mercury drops as low as 24 degrees in the winters, it’s advised that you install a heat pump to make your life more comfortable.
